Surrounding Area: Older suburban neighborhood with most house in the area being built in the 1940's onward. Moon Phase: Waning crescent Moon 7% of the moon disk illuminated. Outside Temp. Low 30's Investigators: Lead investigator: Phil, Chrystal, Billie, Brian Equipment Used: 1 video camcorder, 1 MiniDV camera, 2 IR cameras, 4 digital voice recorders, 1 Cassette Recorder, 4 digital cameras, EMF meter, 2 Dig. Thermometers, 1 IR temp. gauge. History of Location: Initial homeowner moved into house approximately 6 years ago. Girlfriend moved in not quite a year ago. House was built in the 1946. Reason for Investigation: The claims of activity began from when the initial homeowner moved in, noises, feelings of not being alone especially in the basement were noted. Activity significantly increased since the girlfriend moved in. Activity since than includes, dishes being misplaced in the dining room area, sound of things being moved but not actually moving, sound of someone walking in the front door but nobody there. While in the basement hearing something as if someone was walking upstairs in the hallway leading back to the bedrooms also while downstairs the light near the stairs will turn on, the only switch being in the kitchen at the top of the stairs, both instances with nobody else in the home. Motion sensors outside have started working after almost a year of not functioning and other electrical glitches have been noticed such as brief loss of power to sections of the house. The dog also on occasion has seemed to sense things mainly in the dining room area. There has also been light tapping heard coming from the pipes in the basement below the living room. Physical Evidence: We setup two IR cameras in the basement basically covering all of it. Set up a MiniDV in the hallway upstairs and had a camcorder covering the dining room area. On the initial base readings taken, high EMF's were recorded at nearly every point in the house with the highest be recorded in the basement. The homeowner will be advised to the dangers and health risks this might pose and also other symptoms caused by high EMF's. As we walked around the house we noticed the house had hard wood floors which creaked loudly while walking around. The front door seemed very secure and wouldn't be able to be pushed open by a breeze and there is no mistaking when it is closed as it makes a distinct clicking noise as it does so. The light switch at the top of the stairs seemed to be in good working order and the light bulb in the basement was securely in place. Motion sensors were not investigated since no outdoor investigation was performed. The plumbing downstairs was secure and seemed that they would not rattle or move during operation. Conclusion: The EMF readings were high and is some thing they may want to look in to further. One of the many possible causes of the high EMF readings is faulty wiring. The highest readings were recorded in the basement near the furnace. Faulty wiring could explain many of the electrical problems reported in the house. Many of the claims can attributed to the effects that EMF's have on the human body. An electrician would be able to inspect the wiring and recommend to the homeowner appropriate actions that would need to be taken if any. Nothing was captured on Video or Audio and there were no personal experiences that would represent paranormal activity during the investigation. We can't rule out that there is paranormal activity in the house since it doesn't always happen on command but we captured no evidence on this investigation.
