WEST MICHIGAN SPIRIT SEEKERS www.wmspiritseekers.com Investigation Report Date/Time of Investigation: December 8th, 2007 Time ending: 9:30 PM Location: Irish Hills Area Surrounding Area: Rural area, house sits about 400 feet off of a main road which has extremely light traffic. There are several different types of structures on the property besides the main house. There is also a guest trailer. The rest of the structures pertain to farming I.E. Barn, cattle hold area etc... Moon Phase: Waning Moon 1% of the moon disk illuminated. Outside Temp. Upper 20's Investigators: Lead investigator: Phil, Julie, Chrystal, Brian Equipment Used: 4 digital voice recorders, 4 digital cameras, EMF meter, 2 Dig. Thermometers, 2 Camcorder, MiniDV, 2 IR Cameras. History of Location: The property has been owned by the current family for over 100 years. The original part of the house is at least 150 years old. The addition was built in 1955 while also remodeling the original part of the house at this same time. Reason for Investigation: Claims of activity in the house are loud noises, feelings of anxiety, cold drafts, objects being moved or thrown and seeing entities. Activity in the house seems to have increased since October of this year but have happened throughout the history of the house. The daughter is terrified of the bathroom after having an object thrown at her. The daughter also claims that she is being awakened in the middle of the night. Many years ago the son claimed to have a "friend" that nobody else had seen or heard of. Homeowner claims at the foot of the stairs which leads upstairs from the daughters room, that there is a feeling of several people looking down from the top of the stairs. There are also claims outside of the house on the property as well. Cattle seemed to have switched pens during the night as if moved purposely even when the pens were locked securely. This has happened several times over the years. Physical Evidence: Moments after lights out, investigators went outside to investigate the cattle pen area. An investigator spotted a 3 to 4 foot shadow in the pen area which quickly darted away. The shadow was not captured by photograph. Due to the cold temperatures the investigation outside was very limited. An investigator placed a camcorder in the trailer that is next to the house and left it. Upon returning moments later the investigator found his camcorder off, it hadn't recorded a thing. The camera was set up once again and did work. The trailer was unheated at this time and once again the investigation of this area was also very limited. An extremely high EMF reading was found in the daughters room near the stairs. Homeowner will be advised to the dangers and effects of high EMF exposure. The High EMF reading seems to diminish if the door is closed to the stairs, homeowner has been advised to keep door closed for this reason. Several video cameras were placed through out the home and one for a short time in the trailer outside as discussed above. Other than the one camera not operating correctly, nothing was caught on video. There were however several EVPs caught. Three EVPs were caught in the house and one was caught outside. The EVP caught outside corresponds to the spotting of the 3 to 4 foot shadow and sounds like "hello". "Stop, please stop" was caught in the house as investigators before entering the house from the outside, as home owners , all Investigators were outside at the time. Tape recorder was left on kicten table recording , while all were outside. Two of the EVPs seem to be in direct responses to questions being asked by investigators. The first with the question, Can you give us a name and a response of a long drawn out "No" and secondly an investigator says we just want to know if there is anybody here with a response of "Yes" followed immediately by the investigator asking if you can give us a name, with a response of "no" Conclusion: With the number of EVPs we will recommend a second investigation of the inside of the house. With the way a couple of the EVPs seem to respond to questions we cannot rule out intelligent activity at this time a return investigation would help to confirm this. We will of course want to return during warmer weather to investigate the trailer and the outside area as well. The homeowner will receive copies of EVPs cleaned and uncleaned and any other copies of footage we collected that night at their request. No children were present during the Investigation per request of the homeowner . Which would make the Question and answer evp seem Intelligent . As stated more studies need to be done to comfirm . In conclusion, with only EVP evidence caught, we will withhold labeling this location as haunted. There could be however a mix of residual and intelligent activity happening here simultaneously. As said before a return trip would help confirm this. We were also told the Daughter has a medical condition which may explain some reasons she may be awakening during the night. Rather this explains all awakings at this time is unknown. And to finish we would like to thank the homeowners for giving us the opportunity to investigate their property and look forward to seeing them again when warmer weather returns.
